Where are the games played?

We currently have five venues: Altona, Cheltenham, Frankston and South Yarra and Northcote

How do I get involved in a game?

Hit the sign-up button above to register as a new member. Once you’ve become a member you can view the Upcoming Games in the sub menu. Select the venue you are interested in playing at and book your place. Each venue has a maximum number of participants.

What time does the game start?

Please see event details for kick off times.

What is the age group?

Players must be 18 years or older to play. Main age group ranges from 25 to 50.

How many players per side?

9 a side 

How long do the games last for?

The games last for 60 minutes with a 2 minute break at half time.

Do you have to be a certain standard to play?

No, all abilities are welcome.

What surface are the games played on?

The games are played on synthetic grass. Read the information on each venue for the correct footwear to be worn.

What footwear should I wear?

Astro Turf boots or runners are the preferred footwear at all venues. 

Do I have to wear a certain colour?

No, coloured bibs are given out by the game coordinator when you arrive at the venue.

Do I have to play in goals?

Everyone is expected to play in goals for 5 minutes unless you have a designated goalkeeper in your team or have a medical reason not to play in goal.

Do games go ahead in bad weather?

In 9 years we’ve never cancelled a game for rain! If the weather is extreme we will notify you if the venue is closed for safety reasons.

Can I drop out before the game?
  • Yes of course BUT we have a 9 hour cancellation policy, you need to amend/cancel your booking to allow players on a waiting list to take your place.
  • For these events to run smoothly we need to know if you have to drop out. 
  • If you drop out after the 9 hour policy there will be no credit offered. 
Are there referees?

No. We expect to see sportsmanship from players at all times. Sliding tackles are not allowed.

Am I covered by your insurance?
  • No, our liability insurance only covers damage to the venue and the facilities. 
  • If you are worried about getting injured we suggest you take out your own sports insurance. 
  • In 9 years we have never had a serious injury, most of the injuries sustained are muscle injuries from not warming up properly!
How do I pay?
  • You will need to make an online payment when booking your place in the game.
  • Full details on the bookings page including cost.
  • No cash payments.
  • Fees cover pitch hire, website hosting, liability insurance, kit replenishment, admin, etc
Anything else I need to know?
  • If you kick the ball off the pitch please retrieve the ball straight away, otherwise they get forgotten about and left behind.
  • If you could help with setting up or taking down the equipment it would be much appreciated and helps to get the games started on time. 
  • Shin pads are optional but recommended.
  • Also it’s always a good idea to stretch and warm up before the game to try to prevent injury
